June Newsletter

We are in the final stretch of the school year! We will be finishing up and reviewing a lot of concepts from throughout the year. We have lots of important dates to remember as well, so please check those and write them down.

1. Math- We just finished up Unit 8 on measurement and geometry. We will be taking the SAGE test within the week. After that, we will be reviewing and expanding on concepts we have already learned this year.

2. Reading- We are a few weeks away with finishing our class 40 book reading challenge! Students have been keeping track of books in their reading notebook. Please encourage your child to read at home at least 30 minutes a night still. All reading notebooks and reading minutes for the year will be due this month.

3. Writing- We are writing a state report. It will be a total of 14 pages, with at least a paragraph on each page having to do with a certain topic. Students will also be presenting their states in class.

4. Social Studies We are currently learning about the American government. Western movement and the Civil War will be next.

5. Science- We are finished with science!
