Weather Reading Packet
1. meteorologist- a scientist who studies weather
2. cirrus- a type of cloud that is thin, whispy, and high in the sky
3. stratus- a type of cloud that is flat and layered and is the lowest in the sky
4. cumulus- a type of cloud that is thick and puffy and is in the middle of the sky
5. air pressure- the weight of the air on the Earth's surface
6. air temperature- how hot or cold the air is
7. atmosphere- a layer of air around the Earth
8. phenomenon- an unusual event or fact that can be seen or sensed
9. component- a part of something
