Book Report Assignment
Due April 8th

Write a letter (10-sentence minimum) to the main character of your book asking questions, protesting a situation, and/or making a complaint and/or a suggestion about something that happened in the book. The letter must be in the correct letter format and handwritten or typed neatly. It will be graded on neatness, ideas, length, spelling, and grammar. Please make sure you put the name of the book and author at the top, so I know what book you read!

Example:

Number the Stars by Lois Lowry

Dear Annemarie,

You were so brave to help your friend Ellen to escape from the Nazis! I am glad she is safe in Sweden with her family. I bet you are sad that she is gone though. I know I would be sad if my best friend was gone. I think that you should try to find out if she is coming back. Maybe you could sail over to Sweden on your Uncle Henrik’s fishing boat and find her. You could even give her her necklace back! I am sure it would be okay now that the war is over. There wouldn’t be any soldiers to stop you. She would be really happy to see you! I really hope you get to see her again.

Sincerely,

Miss Lloyd
